We will be removing failed hedging plants from around the site, so if you see hedging plants from your orchard vanish, please do not worry - they will be replaced with new plants later in the year.

We are now reaching the end of "no mow May" starting in the first week of June we will be mowing the orchards of clients who have requested this service. Leaving the land un-mowed has encouraged wild flowers and provided much needed food for insects. We expect to see a lot more wild flowers next year and would like to thank orchard owners who have taken the time to plant wild flowers in their orchards.

As you are aware, last year we had a bore hole drilled to provide the site with free water. We also put in a system to allow orchard owners to be able to access water. The system we put in was gravity fed and has led to some issues for owners, we are therefore going to install a new watering system that will be pump driven. This will help us to be able to water trees much faster and with less work, it does however mean that clients will not be able to access water from the new pumped system. (As it requires a generator to be used to run the pumps).

We are therefore going to install 300 litre water containers at the end of each pathway that clients can use to obtain water for their orchards. These containers will be kept full using our new watering system. We will start installing these together with our new system in June and we expect the water containers to be installed and ready for use by middle of June.
